About this product

A Google review stand for the counter, the reception desk or the table. Your customer taps it with their phone and your Google review form opens.

Put it where people pay or wait, and point to it when you ask for a review. Phones without NFC scan the code instead, so it works as a Google review QR code stand as well as a tap stand.

More reviews or your money back.

Small or medium

The small Google stand (12 x 14.8 cm, 4.7 x 5.8 in) fits a busy counter beside the card machine. Where it needs reading from a queue or across a reception desk, choose the medium (14.8 x 16 cm, 5.8 x 6.3 in). Both carry the same chip and QR code.

Where a Google review stand works

On the counter by the card machine, on each table in a restaurant or cafe, at the front desk of a salon or clinic or at a hotel reception. Packs of 5 and 10 are there for several tables or tills.

Your link, on your stand

You write your Google review link onto the chip once, with the free Smartap app. The tap goes straight to Google with no subscription in between, so the stand keeps working even if you stop using Smartap. Your QR code runs through the free Smartap dashboard, where you can repoint it and count scans without reprinting.

Set it up in three steps

  1. Find your Google review link. Our guide shows where it sits in your Business Profile.
  2. Open the free Smartap app, paste the link and hold your phone to the chip.
  3. Put the stand where customers pay or wait. Test it once with your own phone first.

Stand, sign or card?

A stand works when customers come to you. If counter space is short, a Google review sign sticks to the wall instead. For staff who serve customers away from the till, a Google review NFC card fits in a pocket and a Google review keychain on the keys.

The same stand for every customer

Google asks businesses not to choose who they ask and not to pressure anyone. A stand on the counter, there for every customer, does neither.

Common questions

Which phones work with it?

Any phone with NFC switched on, including every iPhone from the XS and XR on and most Android phones. Phones without NFC can scan the QR code with the camera. To check a model, see our NFC phone list.

Does my customer need an app?

No. Their phone opens your Google review page in the browser. Only you use the free Smartap app, once, to write your link onto the chip.

Is there a subscription?

No, you pay once. Your link lives on the chip itself, so there is nothing to renew, and the tap keeps working even if you stop using Smartap.

Can I change the link later?

Yes. Open the Smartap app, paste the new link and hold your phone to the chip. The QR code is changed from your free Smartap dashboard, without reprinting.

Am I allowed to ask customers for Google reviews?

Yes. Google lets businesses ask for reviews as long as you ask every customer, offer nothing in return and don't pressure anyone. Handing over a card or pointing to a stand fits all three.
